Emma Reimer watches wheat being loaded into a truck at the annual Crossborders Community Growing Project in a field near Kola, Manitoba on Friday. After a barbecue lunch volunteers began combining 250 acres of wheat. At least 15 combines and multiple grain carts and trucks were used in the harvest. The proceeds from the wheat will benefit the Canadian Foodgrains Bank which provides food assistance in areas in need around the world. Volunteers take part in every step of growing the crop, from seeding, to spraying to harvest.
